The 7A Lady Tigers took the court last Thursday night in an exciting matchup against their crosstown rival, North Belton Middle School.
In the opening set, the Lady Tigers battled point for point with the Lady Broncos, showing hustle and determination. Despite a late push from North Belton that closed out the set 25-13, the Lady Tigers had bright moments. London Buchanan kept the energy up with her strong serving, while Annabelle Marie and Khiaa Robinson played tough at the net and kept the momentum alive.
The second set started evenly with both teams trading points before North Belton managed to pull ahead. The Lady Tigers never backed down, rallying behind the steady play of Ariyah Scrimsher, Victoria Leon, and Jasline Martinez. Their fight brought South Belton back into the game and closed the gap before falling 25-17.
The Lady Tigers continue to show growth and teamwork each week and are eager to take the court again. They’ll travel to Lamar Middle School in Temple next Thursday to face the Lady Bearcats.
