The 8th grade B team traveled to North Belton to take on the Lady Broncos. This was their first game of the season. The Lady Tiger of South came out to compete.
The first set was back and forth. South played well and held off North late. Coming away with a 25-23 victory in the first set. The second did not go as well as the first, with South falling 3-25. These ladies got back in the groove in the third set. South took a 8-5 lead, but couldn't hold off North. Falling 13-15 in the third set.
Jade Cruz had an incredible night. She led the team in serving with 15 service points. She was followed Arianna Guzman and Aidelyn Macias with eight service points a piece. Aleena Chavez-Bustos contributed five service points. Followed by Harper Demontigny with two, and Emily Faglie-Martinez and Grace Perez having one each. Perez had a great game at the net.
The South Belton Lady Tigers will be back in action on Thursday, September 11th. They will be traveling to Lamar Middle School to take on the Lady Bear Cats.
