The 7A Lady Tigers took the court last Thursday night in a matchup against Lamar Middle School.
In the opening set, the Lady Tigers took on the Lady Bearcats. Despite our efforts they ended the set 8-25, the Lady Tigers had stand out plays. Khiaa Robinson showed improvement with her serves as she put a point on the board for the Tigers! Annabelle Marie and London Buchanan battled hard at the net, keeping the energy going for the Lady Tigers.
The second set started evenly with both teams trading points before Lamar managed to pull ahead. The Lady Tigers battled to stay in contention, fueled by the consistent play of Avery Pope, Ariyah Schrimshire, and Annabelle Marie. South Belton fought to cut into the lead, but the set finished 25–12.
The Lady Tigers are learning each game how to work together, showing steady growth as a team. They will play at home against Travis Middle School next Thursday to face the Lady Bearcats.
