Lady Tigers Face S.C. Lee Middle School
The 7A Lady Tigers took the court on Thursday, October 16, at South Belton Middle School and faced the S.C. Lee Middle School Eagles. The first set was a strong showing for South Belton as the girls came out focused and played with great energy, keeping rallies alive and showing improvement in every rotation. Avery Pope and Annabelle Marie led the charge with strong serves and smart plays, while London Buchanan, Jasline Martinez, Kellie Gonzalez, Ariyah Schrimsher, and Avery Lutz contributed key points to keep the Lady Tigers battling throughout the set, which ended 25–11.
In the second set, Jasline Martinez, Marley Davila, and Avery Lutz worked hard to add points and keep the team fighting.The Lady Tigers continued to battle but faced tough serves and quick plays from S.C. Lee. The girls never stopped fighting and showed great effort throughout, finishing the set 25–5.
Even in a challenging matchup, the Lady Tigers played more like a team and more cohesively as a team. The Lady Tigers showed great heart and will use that momentum as they prepare for their next game.
