7A Lady Tigers Take On Copperas Cove

The 7A Lady Tigers faced Copperas Cove on Monday, October 20, in a competitive matchup. South Belton came out with energy and teamwork, keeping rallies alive and showing steady improvement throughout the game. In the first set, Annabelle Marie was hot at the service line, scoring five points with her serves to give the Lady Tigers early momentum. Khia Robinson and Victoria Leon also contributed with smart plays and consistent effort that helped keep rallies going. Kellie Gonzalez stood out for her quick reactions and strong digs that kept plays alive and helped the team stay in the fight. The match ended 25-15.
The Lady Tigers worked hard at the net and stayed aggressive with their serving and passing. In the second set, Avery Lutz gave the team a boost with her serving, while London Buchanan and Jasline Martinez added points through smart plays and hustle on the court. Several strong efforts helped them earn key points, but Copperas Cove’s consistency and quick plays gave them the edge. The match ended 25–13 in favor of Cove.
Even with the tough loss, all the Lady Tigers showed determination and growth. They each helped to put points on the board, and I am so proud of how far this group has come. Thank you, parents, for sharing your girls with me this season. It’s been an absolute joy getting to know them and coaching them in volleyball.
