SOUTH 8A VS TRAVIS

The South Belton Lady Tigers opened up the district play on Wednesday night with their first home game. The 8A Lady Tigers welcomed the Lady Mustangs of Travis Science Academy to SBMS gym. The 8A Lady Tigers hung tough in the first quarter but the dominant scoring of the Lady Mustangs proved to be unstoppable. The 8A Lady Tigers endured a 46-10 loss yet continued to play with great effort till the final buzzer. Harper Demontigny led the scoring with 4 points. Abigail King, Arianna Dickerson and Gelissa Nelson also contributed 2 points each. Rebekah Martinez and Paisley Davis provide a physical presence and tons of on court leadership. The South Belton Lady Tigers return to the court next Wednesday night at Lake Belton Middle School for a district matchup with the Lady Broncos of Lake Belton Middle School.
