The 8B South Belton Lady Tigers kicked off district play on Wednesday night with a victory in their first home game. The 8B Lady Tigers welcomed the Lady Mustangs of Travis Science Academy to SBMS gym. The 8B Lady Tigers held the Lady Mustangs to 3 points in the first half and raced to a 23-11 victory. Aliyah Tyler led the scoring with 10 points. Naylea Salinas added 6 points, Analysha Moaga, Hanalei Aken and Victoria Pirir also contributed with the scoring effort. Evelyn Garcia-Soto and Yanilen Olivares owned the boards and played incredible defense. The South Belton Lady Tigers return to the court next Wednesday night at Lake Belton Middle School for a district matchup with the Lady Broncos of Lake Belton Middle School.
