South Belton Tigers 8B Earn 18–9 Victory Over Lake Belton Broncos
The South Belton Middle School Tigers 8B girls basketball team earned a well-deserved 18–9 victory over the Lake Belton Middle School Broncos, showcasing teamwork, effort, and determination from start to finish.
The Tigers set the tone early with strong defensive pressure, working together to limit scoring opportunities and control the pace of the game. Their communication and hustle on defense played a key role in holding Lake Belton to just nine points.
Offensively, South Belton saw contributions from several players. Naylea Salinas led the way with 4 points, showing confidence and focus on the offensive end. Kendyl Walker-Espino added 4 points, making key plays and staying aggressive throughout the game. Aliyah Tyler also contributed 4 points, consistently attacking the basket and helping keep momentum on the Tigers’ side. Additional scoring came from Olivares, who finished with 2 points, along with Analysha Moaga, Bailey Murphy, who each added 2 points. All ladies came together with a scoring effort that reflected the Tigers’ commitment to team basketball and unselfish play.
The 18–9 win was a great example of the Tigers’ growth and hard work paying off. South Belton will look to build on this performance as they continue their season with confidence and pride. We will take on River Valley at home next week on Thursday, come out and watch these amazing Lady Tigers!
