The South Belton Lady Tigers resumed district play on Thursday night against the Pantherettes of Midway Middle School. The 8A Lady Tigers struggled to score against the stifling Pantherette defense. The 8A Lady Tigers endured a 49-14 loss yet continued to play nonstop till the final buzzer. Harper Demontigny became the first Lady Tiger to score double digits this season with 10 points. Paisley Davis and Evelyn Rodas Rodriguez added 2 points each for the Lady Tigers. Awnalee Roberts, Gelissa Nelson and Arianna Dickerson provided a solid effort on defense. The South Belton Lady Tigers return home next Thursday night for a district matchup with the Lady Cougars of SC Lee Middle School. Please come out and support your Lady Tigers!!!
