On Thursday, January 9, the Lady Tigers took the court against Midway and came out firing on all cylinders. From the opening tip, the Tigers set the tone with lights-out defense, holding Midway to just 4 points in the first quarter and controlling the pace early.
The offensive effort was led by Haunani Aken, Natalie Adams, and Alaina Back, who each stepped up with aggressive play. Their hustle and teamwork kept the Tigers competitive throughout the game.
Defensively, the Lady Tigers refused to back down. Aryanna Warehime and Maria Morales delivered standout performances and earned Players of the Game honors for their relentless effort. Their tough defense under the basket made every possession difficult for Midway and showcased the Tigers’ grit and determination.
Despite an incredible defensive battle and nonstop effort, the Lady Tigers fought hard but ultimately couldn’t hold off Midway down the stretch. Still, the team showed heart, discipline, and growth—proof that this group is continuing to build momentum as the season moves forward.
The Lady Tigers will take this performance and continue to work, learn, and fight together as they prepare for the next challenge.
