The 7th Grade A Team faced North Belton Middle School in the second game of the night. The Tigers competed hard throughout the game, showing effort and physicality on both sides of the ball, but ultimately fell to North Belton, 28–0.
Jeremy Zachery led the Tigers in rushing, putting together several explosive runs and nearly eclipsing the 100-yard mark. His ability to make big plays helped provide a spark for the South Belton offense.
Joshua Hentkowski made an impact on both sides of the ball. From the fullback position, Hentkowski had several strong runs that resulted in first downs while also making his presence felt on defense with multiple tackles in the backfield.
The Tigers will be back on the road next week as they travel to Lamar Middle School to take on the Bearcats. The Tigers will look to build on their first game, continue improving, and compete with the effort and toughness that represent South Belton Athletics.
