The second game of the night featured the 8th Grade A Team as the Tigers took the field against North Belton Middle School. South Belton brought effort and physicality to the matchup, competing hard on both sides of the football before falling to North Belton, 20–2.
Andrew Deshazer ignited the Tigers' offense with multiple physical runs, consistently fighting for extra yards and helping move the football. Deshazer also made his presence felt on defense, recording multiple tackles behind the line of scrimmage and creating disruption for the North Belton offense.
The Tiger defense stood its ground throughout the game and put together a strong team effort. Multiple players stepped up to make important plays, and the defense's biggest highlight came when South Belton recorded a safety for its only points of the game.
Next week, the Tigers will stay home and welcome the Lamar Middle School Bearcats. The 8th Grade A Team will look to carry the defensive intensity and physicality from this game into their next matchup while continuing to grow as a team.
