SOUTH BELTON INVITATIONAL RESULTS

The South Belton Cross Country team came home yesterday to compete in the 13th annual South Belton Invitational. Top fifteen received medals. The teams came out to compete on their home turf.
The seventh grade girls started the night off. They finished third overall with a score of 72. La'Kenzie Day finished second overall with a time of 13:07. Annabel Bohannan finished 21st with a time of 15:43. Maiya Parker finished 23rd with a time of 15:56. Avarie Willhoite finished 24th with a time of 15:57. They were followed by Athena Sandoval 16:19, Paris Varner 16:22, Paisley Vicker 16:45, Talia Vitaliano 16:48, Annabelle De Avila 16:53, Madeline Vasquez 17:02, Zyndayya Sandoval 18:34, Kamiyah Harris 18:52, Emily Howard 19:08, Elena Harrison 19:32, Amiyah Salas-Shed 19:36, Cierra Alvarado 19:45, Kimberly Rosales 19:46, Carina Quinones 19:49, Olivia Oliver 19:52, Noelle Martinez 20:57, Chloe Vance 21:35, Anika Harrison 22:10, Annalea Leos 22:32, Hawa Couchane 22:37, Zoe Henriquez 22:45, Evelyn Rosales 26:29, and Paisley Williams 26:42.
The eighth grade girls ran next for South Belton. They finished third overall with a score of 95. Siri Cazalas finished 17th overall with a time of 15:02. Annabelle Marie finished 18th with a time of 15:05. Avery Pope finished 19th with a time of 15:06. They were followed by Ariyah Schrimsher 16:31, Lailah Figueroa 16:43, Kellie Gonzalez 16:48, Madison Bohannan 17:25, Holly Padilla 17:40, Lylah Cuellar 17:43, Maria Enriquez Enriquez 18:28, Marisol Patrenets 19:28, Kallie Quintanilla 19:36, and Korianna Putman 19:41.
The final runners of the night were the eighth grade boys. They finished second overall with a score of 45. Gerik Gerhard finished third overall with a time of 11:24. Enzo Giannetti finished eighth overall with a time of 12:17. Jensen Vazquez finished ninth with a time of 12:21. Kainoah Kiser finished 12th with a time of 12:43. Nixon Williams finished 14th with a time of 12:45. They were followed by Connor Youngblood 14:43, Kadon Freeman 15:34, Derek Ruiz 15:46, and Julian Galindo 16:05.
The cross country team will be traveling to Heritage Park in Belton to compete in the Belton Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, September 30th. Come out and support South as they make their final push towards the district meet.
