7TH B VS S.C. LEE

The 7th grade White Tigers battled the Lee Bulldogs in the second game of the night. South Belton got off to an extremely slow start struggling to create offensive opportunities. On the contrary, the Bulldogs pulled ahead early taking advantage at the free throw line. The Tiger defense played tough no matter who took the court, but Mason Torres, Mark Rodriguez and James McGrath stood out amongst the rest. Defense kept the team in the game, and the offense caught fire in the second half where South scored 14 of their 15 points. In addition to holding the bulldogs to zero points in the 4th quarter Vernon Kong and Cristian Rodriguez scored opportunistic baskets to take the lead with seconds remaining. The Tigers would pull off a massive comeback with a 15-14 Win. This victory begins a 2 game win streak.
