The South Belton 7A Lady Tigers traveled to River Valley Middle School to compete in the 7th grade district tournament. Theses ladies competed against a strong River Valley team. The Lady Tigers played strong defense throughout the the game, but could never get their offense rolling. They showed improvement from the last time they played River Valley. Unfortunately they were not able to advance to the second round. Madison Pack and Mia Staley each scored two points a piece.

The South Belton 7B Lady Tigers had a rematch against the Lady Broncos from Lake Belton Middle School. The first quarter was a defensive battle with both teams only scoring two points a piece. In the second quarter Lake found a little bit of an offensive grove. Taking a 4-9 lead into the half. South was able to find their offense in the third quarter, going into the fourth quarter down 9-15. The Lady Tigers were unable to advance to the next round, loosing 13-21. Markayla Allen played her best all around basketball of the season. Leading the team in scoring was Olivia Henderson with six points. Melanie Garcia and Ni'Yetta Wimes contributed two points a piece. Allen, Isabella Trevino, and Audrey Soosemea contributed one point a piece on the day.

These ladies showed so much growth throughout the year. Next year looks bright. We can not wait to see what the future holds for these athletes. Thank you for all the support and dedication.
