SBMS 7A Middle School Tournament Results

The 7A South Belton Lady Tigers traveled to Lake Belton High School to compete in the 13th Annual Belton Middle School Tournament. These ladies came ready to play.
In the first round South played the Lamar Lady Bearcats. These ladies found there serve in the first set with Sirin Bookhao serving seven points in a row, giving South a 12-4 lead. Paisley Davis went on six point serving run. Giving South a 25-9 win. The second set was much of the same. Analysha Moaga went on a eight point serving running to start the game, which would be all South would need to get a 25-15 second set victory. South Belton advanced to the semi-finals against LBMS.
In the semi-final game Lake took the first set 15-25. South battled back in the second set to take take a 25-21 win. Forcing a third set , with the winner advancing to the finals. The third set went back and forth. Unfortunately South fell short 14-16.
The Lady Tigers came out for their third game of the day against Bonham Lady Bull Pups. Winner takes home third place. Gelissa Nelson served 12 consecutive serves, giving South a 14-4 lead. They never looked back, beating Bonham 25-15. The second set started off a little slow, with both teams exchanging points. Amilya Mitchell stepped into serve and served 12 consecutive service points. South won 25-11, earning them 3rd place in the tournament.
Arianna Dickerson, Kendyl Walker-Espino, Harper Demontigny, Madilyn Ortiz, Adriana Gonzalez, and Camila Estrada all played strong games at the net. Esmeralda Alvarado had great passes throughout the tournament.
The South Belton Lady Tigers will be back in action on Thursday, October 3rd at Midway Middle School.
