The seventh grade Lady Tigers played their final home game of the year on Monday against the Bullpups from Cove Junior High. These girls came to play, with a shot at the district on the line.
The first set was a battle, with both teams exchanging multiple lead changes. Analysha Moaga opened the game with four consecutive service points. In the middle of set Camilla Estrada to serve for the first time on the season. She served five points in a row giving South a 15-12. Cove battled back and were able to take a 27-29 victory. South came out a little slow to start the second set. They were able to get rolling half way through the set, and gained 12-11 lead. The two teams went back and forth. Unfortunately Cove was able to come away with the win 22-25.
Estrada led the team in serving with eight points. Followed by Moaga with five. Amilya Mitchell, Gelissa Nelson, and Sirin Bookhao each contributed three service points a piece. Paisley Davis contributed two and Arianna Dickerson had one service point. Lizbeth Guzman and Eameralda Alvarado had some great digs from the back. Madilyn Ortiz and Kendyl Walker-Espino played well at the net with a couple of saves.
These ladies will be playing in the district tournament on Saturday, October 26th at Cove Junior High. Come on out support them. THREE TO WIN!!!
