The South Belton Red and White team combined to take on the Travis Mustangs at Tiger Field.
The Tigers got off to a slow start giving up a long touchdown after a turnover on downs. They eventually got the running game started with Miguel Benavidez behind the blocking of Jackson Kyser, Dylan Bourland, and Freddy Olivarez. South Belton’s defense found their rhythm, but not before the Mustangs put up 14 points. The rest of the defensive drives were highlighted by D line penetration (LaVantae Tyler & Freddy Olivarez) solid tackling by safeties (Yahir Irrizary Guerra & Gabriel Mcleod), and a couple of pass breakups by Royace Young. Ultimately, a couple of mistakes on extra points and a few missed tackles would be all it takes for the Tigers to fall to the Mustangs. The game ended with a score of 14-12 Travis wins.
