The 8B Lady Tigers of South Belton returned to action Thursday night in a crucial matchup against crosstown rival Belton Middle School. BMS took control of the game early and held a 16 to 8 halftime lead over South. The Lady Tigers roared back in the second half to secure a 25-23 win by holding BMS to 2 points in the final quarter. Natalie Mott took the lead on the offensive side of the ball with 12 points. Mariah Johnson-Robert contributed six points, Makayla Allen five points and Ayla Wakershauser two points. Kimberly Orona, Reagan Demontigny, Melanie Lopez Garcia and Kayli Garcia-Jaimes all contributed to the lockdown defensive effort. The Lady Tigers will return to play at home against the Lady Broncos of Lake Belton on January 9th. Come out to support your Lady Tigers!!!
