The 8B Lady Tigers of South Belton returned to action Wednesday night for the first time in 2025. Crosstown rival Lake Belton Middle school traveled to South for a mid-season battle. The Lake Belton Lady Broncos brought a balanced attack to the floor with seven different players scoring on the night. However, the South Lady Tigers were all business and jumped out to a 10-6 lead in the first quarter. The Lady Tigers never let off the gas and cruised to a 25-14 victory. Natalie Mott took the lead on the offensive side of the ball with a season high 19 points and Ayla Wakershauser added another 6 points to the total. Mariah Johnson-Roberts, Makayla Allen, Kimberly Orona, Melanie Lopez Garcia, Kayli Garcia-Jaimes, Kaleiah Robinson and Bianca Avila all contributed to a solid defensive effort. The Lady Tigers will return to play January 16th on the road against the Lady Bullpups of Cove Junior High. Come out to support your Lady Tigers!!!
